EU rules in favour of rights holders

In a verdict rendered on October 14, 2011 the Court of Justice of the European Union has clearly decided in favor of the protection of film right holders and ruled that both the originating TV broadcasting organization and the satellite package provider need to obtain separate authorizations from the right holders for the communication to the public of their works.
